Wcze¶niej wykładał m.in. na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim i Uniwersytecie w Padeborn.

Streszczenie: Modern cryptography provides effective tools for protecting digital contents. Technology concerning privacy, authentication, integrity is available and fulfills even very advanced needs of the users. However, communication privacy is not secured yet. Even if contents of messages exchanged is perfectly secured, the fact of communication between the parties is difficult to hide. Moreover, the architecture of communication protocols disregards this issue and implements no countermeasures against traffic analysis.

While necessity of anonymity of communication is obvious in several application scenarios, it is unclear what "anonymity" really means in a strict mathematical sense. Several diverse proposals have been made so far with a substantial trade-off between the strength of anonymity properties and mathematical difficulties concerned. It is not a problem to design a strict measure of anonymity, the problem is to provide methods that enable to prove a certain anonymity level.

Recently, major advances has been done regarding proof techniques, we present examples of the most crucial advances.
